A non-profit organization and program that is designed to provide our youth with multiple extended services of counseling, therapy, one on one workshops, parent work shops, experimental learning experiences, and mentorship.
Our Mission
Servicing Hands for Youth mission is to build on the strengths of youth and families so they find safety, hope, reasonable opportunities, and success in life so our youth can thrive in the world.
Services
EXPERIMENTAL LEARNING
Experimental learning is the process of learning through an experience. SHY use the cycle of exploring, experience, connect, create, share, and reflect to help youth learn different skills through the the reflection of doing them.
COUNSELING
Counseling with SHY offers in depth guidance to youth, and concentrates on all problems which raises concerns or disputes correlated to studying, home life, family, sexuality and gender identification, or peer unions.
FAMILY WORKSHOPS
SHY Family Workshops range from a variety, and are put in place to allow families to come together to learn communication skills, problem-solving skills, and decision-making skills for a better home-life.
REHABILITATION THERAPY
Rehabilitation Therapy is a form of care that improves youths' abilities within their everyday life. Abilities ranging from physical, mental, and cognitive. Rehabilitation Therapy is one of SHY main goals, and we promise to do everything we can to ensure real rehabilitation.
MENTORSHIP
SHY has mentors from a variety of backgrounds who are ready to build relationships and be an impact. SHY mentors provide experimental learning services to teach skills outside of the traditional academic classroom setting.
PEER LEADERSHIP
Peer Leadership at SHY is an opportunity for the youth to learn from each other as peers. The goal is to come together and uplift one another as the youth are usually experiencing the same issues.
