“Meet Ms. Deja Broaden”
Ms. Deja Broaden is the CEO & founder of Servicing Hands of Youth also known as, SHY. Ms. Broaden was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated in April of 2019 from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice & Juvenile Justice. Ms. Broaden has a strong passion for helping youth specifically troubled, which is why SHY was created. Ms. Broaden has worked with youth since the age of 15 through summer camps, academic tutoring, mentorships, college ambassador, and through two detention facilities. Ms. Broadens’ purpose of SHY is to help reduce recidivism rates within our youth. Ms. Broaden welcomes all youth and is open to helping all youth through SHY.
